Live-action One Piece season 3 to feature Alabasta arc: Release timeline, cast and other details we know

Netflix’s live-action version of One Piece is one of the platform’s biggest global hits. The series is based on Eiichiro Oda’s popular manga and follows the adventure of Monkey D. Luffy, a young pirate with a big dream of becoming the Pirate King. Along with the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy travels across the seas in search of the legendary treasure known as the One Piece. The first two seasons were praised by both longtime fans and new viewers. Now, fans like me are looking forward to the next chapter. The good news is that Netflix has already revealed some details about season 3. Here is everything we know so far about its release, story and cast.

One Piece season 3 release timeline and platform

Netflix has officially confirmed that One Piece season 3 will arrive in 2027. The streaming company has not shared an exact release date yet. Since the show includes large sets, visual effects and action scenes, production takes a long time. Like the previous seasons, the new season will be available only on Netflix when it is released.

One Piece season 3 plot

One Piece season 3 will bring one of the most popular story arcs from the manga, the Alabasta arc. The story will focus on Princess Vivi and the kingdom of Alabasta.

According to the official logline, a rebellion “threatens to tear the nation apart, fueled in secret by one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the ruthless Sir Crocodile, and his underground syndicate Baroque Works, who seek to conquer Alabasta for themselves.” The official description further says, “In a season defined by unbreakable bonds and impossible choices, the Straw Hats must face a brewing civil war and a powerful warlord to save Vivi’s kingdom before it crumbles into the sand.”

Viewers can also expect to see new places, enemies and some of the biggest fights the Straw Hat Pirates have faced so far.
