Netflix released the first part of Bridgerton season 4 last month, and since then, fans have been eagerly waiting to see what happens next in the story. The new season shifts its focus to Benedict Bridgerton, the family’s second son, who has always stood out for his carefree nature. Unlike his brothers and sisters, he has never felt bound by society’s expectations of marriage.
However, as the story begins, his mother encourages him to finally consider finding a suitable partner. Though he resists the idea at first, everything changes during a masquerade ball. There, he meets a mysterious woman dressed in a silver gown. The two feel an instant connection and spend the evening talking, laughing and dancing. She runs away when the clock strikes midnight, leaving behind only a single white glove. The brief encounter leaves a lasting impression, and he becomes determined to find her again.

The woman is later revealed to be Sophie Baek, a young woman with a complicated life. She is the daughter of an earl and a maid. After her father’s death, her stepmother forces her into servitude. When Sophie’s secret visit to the ball is discovered, she gets cast out of the house with no support and nowhere to go.
Fate eventually brings the two together once more in the countryside. Benedict rescues Sophie from a dangerous situation, still unaware that she is the same woman he has been searching for since that night. Eventually, he begins to fall in love with her for who she truly is.
