Music has become something people enjoy all day, whether they are travelling, working, or just relaxing at home. With so many choices available, listeners now expect fair prices for subscriptions, and features that make their music moments better. To match these needs, Spotify has introduced a new set of Premium plans in India. The aim is to give users more options so they can pick a plan that suits their budget. The new plans include Premium Lite, Premium Standard, and Premium Platinum.
At Rs 139 per month, Premium Lite is the most affordable plan. It offers an ad-free listening experience but keeps things simple without extra features like offline downloads. This plan is ideal for users who mainly want uninterrupted music streaming.
The Premium Standard plan is priced at Rs 199 per month and offers more features. It includes high-quality audio, ad-free streaming, and offline downloads. Students can access the same set of features under the Rs 99 per month Student plan.

This plan also allows up to two additional household members to have separate accounts under the same subscription. Another major highlight is access to lossless audio.

Along with the new plans, Spotify is rolling out an improved shuffle mode. The new shuffle option plays fewer repeated songs, helping listeners discover more new tracks. With the latest update, the new reduced-repeat shuffle becomes the default mode for Premium users. Those who prefer the standard shuffle experience can switch back by going to: Settings > Playback > Shuffle Mode > Standard.
