Are Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity down? Here’s why you might be facing issues in accessing AI platforms

Thousands of users across the globe are not able to access many social media and AI platforms due to the Cloudflare outage.

The company has acknowledged it has been facing technical results and as a result the users are not able to access the platforms including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and more.

It must be noted that OpenAI, Gemini and Perplexity have not issued any official statements about the outage at the moment.

Are you not able to access Gemini, ChatGPT and Perplexity? Thousands of users across the globe are not able to access many social media and AI platforms due to the Cloudflare outage. The company has acknowledged it has been facing technical issues, and as a result, the users are not able to access the platforms, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and more. While the exact reason behind the Cloudflare outage remains unknown, the company did say that it has been deploying the changes to restore the services.

Following the Cloudflare outage, users are experiencing sudden failures and interrupted sessions across multiple platforms. Data from Downdetector shows each affected service has received more than 1,000 problem reports so far. Users have flagged issues such as abrupt disconnections, sessions crashing midway, blank or frozen screens, and platforms failing to generate any responses.

It must be noted that OpenAI, Gemini and Perplexity have not issued any official statements about the outage at the moment.

What all services are affected:

X, Canva, Shopify, OpenAI, Garmin, Claude, Verizon, Discord, TMobile, League of Legends and more services have been affected. It remains unknown when the services will be restored; the company has reassured that they will be restored soon.

Cloudflare statement on outage

On its status page, the company has stated, “Some customers may be still experiencing issues logging into or using the Cloudflare dashboard. We are working on a fix to resolve this, and continuing to monitor for any further issues.”
