Rich Text Formatting will allow users to add bold, italics, etc to their text, while Instant RSVP will allow them to respond to calendar invites directly from Google Calendar.

Gmail for Android is now being updated to support Rich Text Formatting (RTF) and Instant RSVP. RTF will allow users to add bold, italics, colours, underlines, and highlights to their text in order to emphasize certain aspects of the mail. The instant RSVP feature allows users to respond to calendar invites directly from Google Calendar and Microsoft Exchange, without opening separate apps. This feature will allow users to see if there is any conflict with their existing schedule, when they get an invite. The update should be available to all users soon.

Last year, Google made the ‘undo send’ option available for all users. This feature allowed users to ‘unsend’ an email with a specific time period, by clicking on a link on top of the screen. Once users click undo, the email would reappear in the ‘Compose’ box on Gmail, letting users decide what they wish to do with it. The option was already available in Gmail’s Labs for some time, before the company introduced it in public.
