Google ने प्ले स्टोर से 11 ऐप्स को हटा दिया है। हटाए गए ये ऐप्स खतरनाक जोकर मालवेयर से इन्फेक्टेड है। गूगल 2017 से इन ऐप्स को ट्रैक कर रहा है। चेकपॉइंट रिसर्चस ने इन ऐप्स में जोकर malware का नया वेरिएंट पाया था। हैकर्स ने लोगों से उनकी बिना जानकारी के प्रीमियम सर्विस को सबस्क्राइब कराने का नया रास्ता निकाल लिया था। हैकर्स ऐप्स में जाने के नए रास्ते से गूगल प्ले के प्रोटेक्शन को भी पास कर सकते हैं।

Check Point ने आगे ये भी कहा, कि Google Play के सिक्योरिटी फीचर्स के बावजूद Joker malware को डिटेक्ट करना काफी मुश्किल है। ऐसा भी हो सकता है कि यह बहुत चतुरता से Google Play Store पर वापसी ले।
इस साल की शुरुआत में, Google गूगल ने एक रिपोर्ट में बताया था कि प्ले स्टोर पर 1,700 malicious “Bread” apps को डिटेक्ट कर के रिमूव किया गया था। ये Bread apps जोकर मालवेयर के साथ हैं।
Google ने कहा था कि इन ऐप्स को यूज़र्स द्वारा डाउनलोड करने से पहले ही रिमूव कर दिया गया था। Joker malware को गूगल 2017 से ट्रैक कर रहा है।
