In an interview with Digit.in, Nipun Marya spoke about the challenges ahead for Vivo once the lockdown lifts and the company’s 2020 roadmap.

The COVID-19 pandemic is showing us a side of Vivo we have never seen before. With productions and sales activity on hold due to the lockdown, Vivo’s Head of Marketing Strategy, Nipun Marya is busy being a chef at home and outside, he’s busy helping the poor get the essentials, helping the frontline heroes with equipment and more.

In an interview with Digit.in, Marya spoke about the challenges ahead for Vivo once the lockdown lifts and the company’s 2020 roadmap. He talks about the safety steps that Vivo will be taking once they are allowed to resume operations and how the market will change after the lockdown is lifted.

And while many are pessimistic about how the year will turn out to be, Marya remains optimistic about India bouncing back sooner than expected, especially the smartphone industry. While he expects challenges in the short-term, he doesn’t see the situation to be as gloomy in the mid-term or long-term.

More than anything, however, Marya was the most excited to talk about all the things Vivo has been doing to help India fight the COVID-19 pandemic. We won’t spoil it for you. Listen to the whole interview in the video embedded in the article.
