Google has officially added a new tier to its artificial intelligence services by rolling out a mid-range Google AI Plus subscription. For now, the plan is available for users in Indonesia, but the tech giant has confirmed that it will be further available to different markets in the near future. The new plan aims to offer enhanced access to Gemini, which can offer better results.
Coming to the prices, the new plan is priced at IDR 75,000 per month (around Rs 400). To encourage adoption, Google is also offering a 50 per cent discount for the first six months. This makes it a more affordable alternative to the higher-priced AI Pro plan (Rs. 1,950 in India) and the AI Ultra tier (Rs. 24,500).
The AI Plus plan offers enhanced access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, sitting between the limitations of the free version and the premium Pro/Ultra offerings. This also raises the token context window of Gemini from 32K (free tier) to 128K, allowing longer and more complex queries.
Interestingly, Google AI Plus also offers Veo 3 Fast, the company’s video generation model, which is not available in the free tier. This can make this affordable plan a worthy upgrade if it makes its India debut. However, the company has not mentioned the daily usage cap or limits at the moment.

The subscribers will also get to use the Gemini side panel across Workspace apps such as Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides, while gaining access to creative tools like Flow (for video) and Whisk (for image-to-video conversion). It also offers 200GB cloud storage across Drive, Photos, and Gmail.
However, there is no official word about the India launch at the moment. If launched, it can be a great move to rival ChatGPT’s Go plan.
