Cleaning the house usually means dealing with two different kinds of mess. There is the everyday dust, hair and crumbs that need vacuuming, and then there are spills, muddy footprints or food messes that need a mop. Using separate machines for both can get inconvenient, especially when you have to clean the same floor regularly.
Wet and dry cordless vacuum cleaners try to solve both problems with one machine. Some are designed mainly for vacuuming and mopping hard floors, while others come with detachable units and attachments that let you clean sofas, carpets and other surfaces too.
We have picked five capable options and ranked them based on what they can actually do, rather than their price.
If you want one machine to cover more than just the floor, the Dreame H12 Dual FlexReach makes a strong case. It is a 6-in-1 wet and dry cleaner with multiple attachments, so you can use it for floor washing as well as dry vacuuming on other surfaces. It has up to 23,000Pa suction and a 180-degree lie-flat design for getting under low furniture.

The floor-cleaning side gets a 90-degree hot-water self-cleaning system, followed by hot-air drying. Dreame also lists up to 60 minutes of runtime in vacuum mode. The combination of a detachable dry-vacuum setup, wet cleaning and multiple attachments gives it a wider role around the house than a dedicated floor washer.
The V12 Detect Slim Submarine is essentially a cordless vacuum with wet cleaning added to the package. Its dry-vacuum side gets 150 Air Watts of suction, a Hyperdymium motor spinning at up to 125,000rpm and up to 60 minutes of runtime. It also weighs 2.2kg, which makes it easier to use for everyday above-floor cleaning.
The Submarine wet roller head handles hard-floor washing, while Dyson’s Fluffy Optic cleaner head is designed to reveal fine dust that can otherwise be difficult to spot. There is also a Hair Screw Tool for hair and pet hair. So, if your cleaning involves sofas, mattresses, corners and other surfaces as much as floors, the V12 has a clear advantage over dedicated floor washers.
The S6 Stretch Max is built around one particular job: making hard-floor cleaning less of a two-step process. It combines vacuuming and mopping, while its 180-degree lay-flat design lets the cleaning head get underneath beds and other low furniture. Tineco’s India listing confirms this exact Stretch Max variant is currently part of its lineup.
This model makes more sense if most of your cleaning happens on hard floors. It is not as broad a cleaning system as the Dreame H12 Dual FlexReach, but the floor-washing approach is more focused. Its self-cleaning and drying system also reduces the unpleasant part of maintaining a wet floor cleaner after use.

The Zerobend Z21WM takes a different route to making cleaning easier. Its ZeroBend design lets the machine bend 90 degrees on either side, which is useful when you need to get underneath furniture or into tighter areas without constantly bending down. Eureka Forbes also gives it a motorised wet-mopping brush alongside its dry-vacuum system.
For dry cleaning, the Z21WM is rated at 210 Air Watts of suction and uses 12H Cyclonic Technology. It also gets an auto hair-detangling system, which can be useful if long hair regularly gets wrapped around the brush. Eureka Forbes lists up to 60 minutes of runtime, although actual runtime will vary depending on the mode and cleaning task.
The Kärcher FC 7 Cordless is the most specialised product here, and that is also why it sits lower in an overall versatility ranking. Its four counter-rotating rollers are designed to pick up dry debris while washing the floor in the same pass. There is no need to vacuum the floor separately before mopping.
It has separate clean- and dirty-water tanks, two cleaning modes and a Boost mode for tougher dirt. Kärcher lists around 45 minutes of battery runtime and support for sealed hard floors such as tiles, parquet, laminate, PVC and vinyl. It is excellent at what it is designed for, but unlike the Dreame or Dyson, it is not a general-purpose cordless vacuum for sofas, mattresses or other above-floor surfaces.
