Samsung has changed its strategy and now instead of reserving new features for its flagship phones, it is incorporating them in its mid-range devices. More specifically, its Samsung Galaxy A series of phones are getting the new features like a triple or quad camera setup. The company could soon focus on lowering the cost of these phones further down and this will reportedly be done by removing AMOLED displays from these devices and replacing them with an LCD display. Additionally, the company could also launch phones under a new Galaxy M series, which is said to merge the Galaxy J, Galaxy On, and the Galaxy C series.

As per Sammobile, via PhoneArena, the company is aiming to equip its A series of smartphones with an LCD display so that they cost under 300,000 Won (Rs 19,276 approx). These phones are said to be tailored specifically for India and other South Asian countries, and the first of these devices to hit the market are said to be the Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A60. Samsung could also launch the Galaxy A30, Galaxy A40, Galaxy A70 and the Galaxy A80 smartphone, but they will reportedly come with AMOLED displays. The company might also be changing the nomenclature and moving to double digits for representing upcoming phones.

The smartphone manufacturer will reportedly consolidate these devices and release them under a new M series. Two smartphones with model number M-M205F and SM-M305F are said to be under development and could be released under the new series under the name Galaxy M20 and M30 respectively. Additionally, the SM-M205F could be launched in 32GB and 64GB storage variants, while the SM-M305F may be offered in 64GB and 128GB internal storage variants. The two phones are said to support dual SIMs and could be launched with a single SIM in some countries.
