Coocaa has launched the 50S4U Plus in India, a 50-inch Full HD smart TV with Dolby Audio and Coolita 3.0+. The TV is positioned for buyers looking for an affordable large-screen option with free live TV content, smart connectivity, and reliable performance. With a price under Rs 20,000, it targets households that want a simple, cost-effective alternative to Android TV-based models while offering some unique extras like 300+ free channels and Coolink app support.
The Coocaa 50S4U Plus is priced at Rs 16,999 and will be available through Flipkart. Meanwhile, the 43-inch model is priced at Rs 13,999, and the 32-inch model retails for Rs 7,999 via the same platform. The media release does suggest the prices are for a limited period, perhaps till the Big Billion Days sale is going on.
On the front, the TV has a 50-inch Full HD LED with 1920 x 1080 pixels, 350 nits brightness, 178° viewing angle, and 60 Hz refresh rate. In real-world use, the Full HD resolution at 50 inches may not be as sharp as 4K models, but the 350 nits brightness should help deliver clear visuals in bright rooms. This is complemented by 20W speakers with Dolby Audio support. The speaker output should be fine for a decently sized room. You can try the different picture and audio modes for different media.
Under the hood, the TV packs a quad-core A35 CPU with a 2 GHz clock speed, Mali-G31 GPU, and 4 GB internal memory. On top of this hardware, the TV runs Coolita 3.0+ with AI recommendations and free live TV. The standout feature is the integration of 300+ free live channels, eliminating the need for separate subscriptions for basic content. The Coolink Pocket TV and mobile app further extend usability, letting users mirror and control the TV via phone. Features like flicker-free Eye Care, Night Mode, and DIY image presets are uncommon in the budget segment.
On the connectivity front, you get ports like 3x HDMI, 2x USB, Optical out, headphone jack, LAN, satellite input, and Wi-Fi.
The Coocaa 50S4U Plus is for buyers who prioritise affordability, free live TV content, and simple smart features over advanced app ecosystems and 4K resolution. Those seeking better sharpness or app variety can consider alternatives in the 4K Android TV segment, such as the VW43GQ1 (Google TV) or Redmi L43MA-FVIN (Fire TV). Still, the Coocaa TV’s price-to-feature balance could appeal to first-time smart TV users or those looking for a secondary room setup.
