The telecom customers who want to opt for an affordable recharge plan under Rs 200 usually analyse the recharge plans available for their use with either Reliance Jio or Airtel. Currently, both the telecom operators have a recharge plan worth Rs 199. However, the features that the customers get out of these prepaid plans vary significantly. While the Jio plan offers users a longer validity period along with free access to its digital platform, the Airtel plan tries to lure customers with a slightly higher data consumption limit. The Rs 199 recharge plan from Reliance Jio is valid for 18 days. Each user receives 1.5 GB of high-speed data per day, totalling 27 GB of data for the entire plan duration. Once the daily limit is used up, the internet speed reduces to 64 Kbps.
The plan also includes unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day. Along with telecom benefits, Jio is bundling access to some of its apps and services. Subscribers get access to JioTV and JioAICloud with this recharge.

Airtel’s Rs 199 prepaid plan offers 28 days validity, which is notably longer than Jio’s offering. The pack includes a total of 2GB data for the entire validity period instead of daily data benefits.
Users also get unlimited calling benefits and 300 SMS during the validity period. Airtel is additionally bundling Airtel Xstream Play access, Adobe Express Premium, and spam protection through The Safe Network feature.
The telecom company also promotes a Rs 349 recharge as a better option for users who want unlimited 5G data and 2GB data per day for 28 days.

Which plan to choose completely depends upon what you prioritise, whether it’s the data usage on a daily basis or validity along with voice calls.
If the requirement of your daily data is high, then you can go for the Jio Rs 199 plan, as it provides an average of 1.5GB of data every day.
Alternatively, the Airtel Rs 199 top-up plan can be considered by individuals whose focus is on having more validity and voice calling. The period of validity being 28 days makes it more useful for people who do not use mobile data very much but rather make use of calls.
