Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a new long-term prepaid international roaming pack, offering connectivity in 18 countries across the globe. The recharge plan priced at Rs 5,399 is dubbed the “Gold International Roaming Plan.” It offers international calling along with a data pack and SMS benefits at an effective cost of just Rs 180 per day. Notably, the plan has a 30-day validity, making it ideal for those seeking a long-term international roaming solution.

BSNL’s Rs 5,399 plan, which is valid for 30 days, offers 3 GB of high-speed data, 30 minutes of outgoing voice calls, and 15 SMS messages. It’s especially targeted at tourists, business travellers, and students studying abroad.

BSNL Rs 5,399 IR plan: Availability

The state-owned telecom operator on X (formerly Twitter), announced that the plan is available in as many as 18 countries worldwide, including Bhutan, Germany, Malaysia, Denmark, Israel, Greece, France, Japan, Kuwait, Myanmar, Nepal, Vietnam, Bangladesh, China, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Austria and Srilanka.
Users can recharge via the BSNL website, app, or local retailer. However, customers must ensure international roaming is enabled on their BSNL SIM before going for the recharge.

How to activate international roaming on a BSNL prepaid SIM?

To activate BSNL international roaming, users are required to call the BSNL customer service centre at 1503 or through the MyBSNL app and ask for IR activation on their respective number. Upon arrival in the destination country, if the network still doesn’t connect automatically, users will need to enable “International” under Network options in the phone’s settings under the BSNL mobile tab.
