The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro will go on sale from April 6 in China, and will offer 32GB of storage as compared to 16GB storage on the standard variant
Xiaomi has launched an upgraded variant of the Redmi 3, called the Redmi 3 Pro, in China. The new variant comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, along with a fingerprint sensor. The rest of the specifications of the device remain the same as the standard variant of the phone. The device is priced at CNY 899, which is roughly Rs. 9,200, and will go on sale from April 6.
The standard Xiaomi Redmi 3 was launched in January this year and is priced at CNY 699 (approx. Rs. 7,200). The device comes with a 5-inch HD display and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 616 SoC with 2GB of RAM. There is a 13MP camera located at the back of the device, while the front houses a 5MP camera. The device comes with a 4100mAh battery pack and 16GB of internal storage. It is not known if and when Xiaomi will launch the Redmi 3, or Redmi 3 Pro, in India. However, the company will launch its new flagship device, the Mi 5, in the country on March 31.
