Xiaomi Redmi 4A sale at 12 noon on Amazon India: Everything you need to know

Xiaomi Redmi 4A, the entry-level Android smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker will go on sale today at 12 noon. The smartphone will be available exclusively from Amazon India today at Rs 5,999. The Redmi 4A is the successor to original Redmi 1s smartphone and Xiaomi claims to have sold over 2.5 lakh units of its budget smartphone.

To recall, Xiaomi Redmi 4A was announced in March in exclusive partnership with Amazon India. The smartphone features a 5-inch HD display and is powered by Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset coupled with Adreno 308 GPU. It comes with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and supports expandable storage up to 128GB via hybrid memory slot.

The Redmi 4A offers a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, HDR mode and single LED flash. The handset also sports a 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and face recognition support. It supports connectivity features like WiFi 802.11 with WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1 and 4G LTE. The dual-SIM smartphone is backed by a 3120mAh battery and will be available in grey and gold colour options.

Xiaomi is also making its Mi Max 2 phablet smartphone available via Mi.com and other online retailers like Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm Mall and Tata Cliq. The sale began at 10AM and the smartphone is currently available on Amazon India. The Mi Max 2 features a 6.44-inch Full HD display, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and is powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset. 

The handset offers a 12MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus and dual tone LED flash. It also sports a 5MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and support for 85-degree wide angle lens. The smartphone is backed by a 5300mAh battery and is priced at Rs 16,999.
