Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to enter the tri-fold smartphone market, following the footsteps of Samsung and Huawei. The company’s upcoming tri-fold device, possibly called the Xiaomi Mix TriFold, has appeared in the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) database, XiaomiTime reports. The certification reveals the model number 2608BPX34C, confirming that Xiaomi is actively working on this foldable smartphone.
While details of the Xiaomi Mix TriFold are still limited, leaks and previous patents give us a glimpse of what to expect. There are rumours that the device could officially launch sometime in the third quarter of 2026, which is between July and September next year.

The Mix TriFold is expected to come with high-end specifications. It is said to run on an 8-series Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, likely the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. For photography, the phone is rumoured to feature a triple-camera setup on the back.

The design of the Xiaomi Mix TriFold is said to resemble the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate. This means the main screen will fold inward. When closed, the device will appear like a regular smartphone and look like a tablet when unfolded. Battery life is expected to be impressive as well, with a large battery.
