Xiaomi is getting ready to launch its next flagship smartphones to global markets, including India. The Xiaomi 17 series, which was first launched in China in September 2025, has now appeared on certification platforms, pointing to an early international debut. Reports suggest that only two models, reportedly the Xiaomi 17 and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, will travel outside China, and the Pro versions are likely to stay exclusive to the home market. The upcoming devices are once again expected to be camera-centric, with Leica-backed cameras expected on both phones. Here’s everything we know so far about the battery, camera, processor, and more of the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
The Xiaomi 17 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood the device is rumoured to be driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor coupled with 12GB RAM and storage options going up to 512GB.
The device may also house a 7,000mAh battery with fast charging support. On the camera front, the device is tipped to offer a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup, all using 50MP sensors. Other than that, a 50MP camera is expected at the front for selfies and video calls.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is likely to come with a bigger 6.9-inch AMOLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is expected to be protected by improved glass for better durability. Like the standard model, it may run on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Along with that, it’s also expected to boast 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage options.
The smartphone is also said to include a Leica-backed camera system with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a powerful 200MP zoom lens. On the front the device will likely sport a 50MP lens. In terms of battery the device is anticipated to come packed with a 6,800mAh battery that supports fast charging and wireless charging.

According to the tipster Yogesh Brar, the company plans to launch the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra globally before MWC 2026, which takes place in early March. Followed by a special Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition by the end of February. He further added that the devices are expected to launch around early March 2026 in the Indian market.

The Xiaomi 17 is expected to launch with a price tag of Rs 65,000, while the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to sit in the premium bracket, with prices likely close to or above Rs 1,10,000, depending on the variant.
