Vivo X500 Pro specs leak online: Display, camera, processor and other details revealed

Vivo X500 series is months away from its debut but that hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from dishing out speculations. The most recent one comes from serial tipster Digital Chat Station who has taken to Weibo to reveal a detailed look at the specifications of the upcoming Vivo X500 Pro.

The leaked information corroborated by Debayan Roy (Gadgetsdata) on X covers the chipset, camera, display and battery, giving us a clear picture of what Vivo is planning for its next compact flagship.

On the camera front, the Vivo X500 Pro is said to feature a 50MP primary sensor with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor size and LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) technology, which expands effective dynamic range by preventing highlight detail loss in bright conditions. This is the same tech that debuted with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra earlier this year.

This is paired with a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 64MP Sony IMX06H periscope telephoto lens with approximately 3x optical zoom. Digital Chat Station has specifically claimed that Vivo is not using the widely-seen OmniVision OV64B as the periscope sensor and instead the new Sony IMX06H will take its place. The 200MP periscope telephoto camera, meanwhile, is expected to remain exclusive to the higher-end Vivo X500 Pro Max.

Under the hood, the X500 Pro is being tested with MediaTek’s upcoming 2nm Dimensity 9600 series chipset, making it one of only two compact Pro flagships expected to carry this processor in 2026. The phone is also reported to pack a 7,000mAh+ battery with approximately 90W wired charging, alongside a 6.37-inch flat LTPO OLED panel at 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additional hardware highlights include a metal frame, USB 3.2, wireless charging, IP69 water and dust resistance, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The Vivo X500 Pro is expected to launch in China in September, with a global rollout anticipated in November or December. It will ship with OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.
