Vivo is reportedly preparing to expand its V series lineup in India with the upcoming Vivo V80. Vivo has not yet officially announced the launch date for the upcoming Vivo V80 but a recent report by Smartprix suggests that the device could land in the Indian market in the first week of October.

Vivo V80: India price (Expected)

Early reports suggest that the Vivo V80 could be priced at around Rs 60,000 in India and industry watchers are linking the expected increase in pricing to the ongoing shortage of memory chips in the global market. However, the official price of the smartphone will only be revealed at the time of launch.

Vivo V80: Specs (Expected)

The Vivo V80 is expected to feature a triple camera setup at the back, including a 50 MP primary sensor, a 50 MP secondary camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone could reportedly feature a 50 MP front-facing camera.

On the display front, rumours suggest that the Vivo V80 could come with a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel featuring a 144 Hz refresh rate. The higher refresh rate should make scrolling and animations appear smoother compared to conventional 120 Hz displays.

Under the hood, the smartphone is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. The Vivo V80 could reportedly be offered with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage, giving the device enough headroom for multitasking and storing apps, photos and videos.

Powering the smartphone could be a 6,500 mAh battery. If the reported capacity is accurate, the Vivo V80 could offer enough battery life for a full day of use while also giving the device an edge over some competing smartphones in the segment.
