Vivo has come up with an all new premium mid-range smartphone in India, the Vivo S2. The new device focuses on design, camera capabilities and battery life, while also bringing several AI-powered software features. The device is positioned below the company’s flagship X-series and offers an AMOLED display, a large 7,050mAh battery and MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset. The Vivo S2 comes with a 6.83-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and up to 3,000 nits local peak brightness. The S2 is powered by a Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor built on a 4nm process and is paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The smartphone packs a 7,050mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge support and runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Vivo says the phone will receive one year of extended warranty and long-term battery health optimisation.
As for camera, the device comes with a 50MP Sony primary rear camera and a 32MP front-facing camera. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording, while camera features include Dual View Video, AI Erase 2.0, Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Supermoon, Time-lapse and Pro mode. The device also carries an IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, military-grade durability, dual stereo speakers, Circle to Search with Google, Google Gemini integration, AI Smart Call Assistant, AI Captions, Super Documents, Private Space and Vivo Office Kit for cross-device productivity.

The Vivo S2 is available in Silk White, Sapphire Blue and Regal Bronze colour options. The price starts at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 256GB model is priced at Rs 49,999. Sales begin on August 11 via Vivo’s official website, Flipkart, Amazon and authorised retail stores.
