Samsung’s much-anticipated tri-fold phone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, might finally arrive this week. While the brand was widely rumoured to unveil its first tri-fold device at the Galaxy Event on October 21, it didn’t. Now, a fresh report from The Korea Herald claims that Samsung could reveal the Galaxy Z TriFold later this week at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit, scheduled to take place from October 28 to 31 in Gyeongju, South Korea.
Though the exact date of the reveal remains unclear, sources suggest that the phone may arrive in select markets only.
According to multiple leaks, Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Z TriFold in select markets, including China, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and the UAE. While early speculation hinted at a US release, noted tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) recently leaked that the tri-fold may skip the American market altogether.
The device’s limited availability could reflect its ultra-premium pricing and early-adopter appeal, rather than mass-market positioning.
The Galaxy Z TriFold is rumoured to sport dual hinges, allowing it to fold inward into three panels inspired by Samsung’s Flex In & Out prototypes showcased earlier this year. When fully unfolded, users could experience a 10-inch AMOLED display, effectively turning the device into a mini tablet for multitasking, content creation, and gaming.
On the outside, a 6.5-inch cover display will reportedly provide smartphone-like usability when folded. Both panels are expected to offer a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support.

Under the hood, the device is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, the same powerhouse found in the Galaxy S25 series, coupled with up to 16GB of RAM. The device is expected to feature a 200MP triple rear camera setup with ultrawide and telephoto lenses, with up to 100x digital zoom.
Reports suggest the tri-fold could carry a price tag of $3,000 (approx. Rs 2,64,000).
