Samsung will unveil its upcoming flagship the Galaxy Note 9 at the ‘Unpacked’ event on August 9 in New York. Ahead of its launch, several reports, renders and leaks have surfaced giving the details on the specifications and features of the phablet. Samsung had released a teaser video that showed the S-Pen stylus, a known accessory associated with the Note series of phones, to confirm the existence of the Galaxy Note 9. In a latest development, the South Korean giant has made live the support pages for the smartphone in some countries.
A twitter handle SamsungMobile.News | Max attached the links of some of the Galaxy Note 9 support pages which are live in countries like Finland, Denmark, France and Norway. The support pages list a device with model number SM-N960F/DS that was first spotted on the US Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) website. The pages do not provide any information about the specs and features of the device.
For those who couldn’t follow the rumours and leaks, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is tipped to feature an Exynos 9810 SoC (Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 for the variant in the US) and a 6GB RAM. The phone is expected to be backed by a 4,000mAh battery, run Android 8.1 Oreo and is believed to have a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The S-Pen is confirmed to have a Bluetooth connectivity and is rumoured to come with capabilities to control music playback as well as to be used as a long-range timer to take group photos. It is also possible that the button on the S-Pen will be able to summon Samsung’s Artificial Intelligent assistant Bixby. The S-Pen will reportedly be charged through the phablet itself.
