Black Friday sale 2025 deals Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra massive Price drop on Flipkart
Samsung is all set to roll out its next big software update, One UI 8, and it’s arriving earlier than expected. Based on Android 16, the new update could reach Galaxy devices as soon as July 2025. This is a big change from Samsung’s usual pattern of releasing major updates in the last few months of the year.
Normally, Samsung releases One UI updates between October and November, after Google launches the final version of Android. But with One UI 8, Samsung seems to be moving things forward. The stable version of One UI 8 is likely to be released alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 in July 2025. This would be much earlier than the One UI 7 update, which came out in April this year.
Samsung reportedly started testing One UI 8 on May 28, 2025. The beta version is currently available for the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra in select countries like Germany, South Korea, the US and the UK. Users can sign up for the beta through the Samsung Members app. Surprisingly, there was no official announcement for this rollout. Samsung is said to be already working on the second beta and plans to expand testing to more Galaxy models soon.
