The Samsung Galaxy S8 will have improved AI as well, presumably incorporated into S-Voice.

The Galaxy Note 7 fiasco has left the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 with a lot of ground to cover. While some details about the device have been leaked, nothing’s confirmed as of now. However, Samsung, Vice Chairman, Lee Jae-Yong, recently told the Wall Street Journal, that the phone will have a “slick design and an improved camera”. Further, he confirmed that the Galaxy S8 will have enhanced artificial intelligence as well.

The AI is perhaps from Samsung’s recent acquisition of AI startup Viv Labs, and it will presumably be made on S-Voice, bringing it on par with Siri and Google Assistant. In addition, rumours have also said that the Galaxy S8 will have a dual-camera setup, much like the new iPhone 7 Plus and the Huawei P9 smartphones.

Further, a new design to the Galaxy S8 will probably incorporate the edge display in a different way. Samsung has made a big deal of its curved screens with its last two flagships. In fact, even the Galaxy Note 7 had curved displays on the side. It’s possible that Samsung will go with a curved only design this time, instead of curved and non-curved variants of its flagships.

The company is expected to fit its new flagship with a 5.5 inch 4K AMOLED display, along with 6GB of RAM and a battery sourced from a new supplier, which may be LG Chem. The phone will presumably be powered by the Exynos 8895 processor, along with 16MP and 8MP cameras on the back.
