Samsung is preparing to launch its next flagship smartphone lineup, the Galaxy S26 series. While the company usually unveils its Galaxy S phones in late January or early February, a report suggests that this time, the launch could happen a bit later than usual.

According to MoneyToday, the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event, where the Galaxy S26 series will be revealed, is expected to take place on February 25, 2026. The event is said to be held in San Francisco. San Francisco has become a global hub for artificial intelligence (AI), and Samsung seems eager to highlight its growing focus on AI-powered smartphone features.

Earlier rumours suggested that Samsung would introduce a big shake-up in its lineup with three new models: the Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. However, following the disappointing sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge, Samsung reportedly decided to cancel the S26 Edge and stick with its more traditional lineup: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
