Redmi is all set to expand its Note 17 lineup in the Indian market with the launch of the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Note 17 Pro Max devices. The smartphone will make its India debut on September 15 and is said to bring noticeable differences when compared to its predecessors and standard model. While the company has been tight-lipped about the specifications of the device, leaks and rumours give us a good idea of what it may offer. The smartphones may come packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon under the hood and may come with a dual camera setup at the back. The Redmi Note 17 Pro is expected to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display is said to reach a peak brightness of 3,500 nits and may get a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
Under the hood, the device might draw its power from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset along with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Reports also suggest that it may run on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 out of the box.
In terms of power, the device may get an 8,340mAh silicon-carbon battery paired with 67W fast charging and up to 22.8W reverse charging support. For camera enthusiasts, it’s rumoured to come with a 50MP primary sensor supported by an 8MP ultrawide lens. At the front the device is likely to sport a 16MP selfie shooter.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max has been tipped to feature a 10,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery with a 100W HyperCharge support. Rumours suggest that it may come packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. It’s also expected to be paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage.
Much like the Pro version, the Pro Max series is also anticipated to be shipped with the Xiaomi HyperOS 3, a skin based on Android 16. The handset might house a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The makers are also said to protect the screen with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It may also bag IP66, IP68, and IP69K certifications.
In terms of optics, the device may come with a dual camera setup at the back featuring a 50MP main camera and an 8MP secondary camera. For selfies and video calls, it might sport a 32 MP front camera.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max and Redmi Note 17 Pro will land in the Indian market on September 15, 2026. Interested buyers will be able to purchase the device on Amazon, Xiaomi’s online store and retail outlets.
While the official prices of the smartphones are still under the wrap, the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Note 17 Pro Max are anticipated to launch with a price tag of Rs 40,000 and Rs 47,999, respectively.
