The update is full of bug fixes and various improvements like manual mode for the camera and Raw support for third party apps

OnePlus team has announced the roll-out of the OxygenOS 2.1 update for OnePlus 2 smartphone. The update will be available to users via OTA. It is an incremental update for the device. The team said that the update will reach a small percentage of users first and if everything goes right, then a broader roll-out will start.

As per the announcement, the update includes a lot of bug fixes and improvements. For example, the OnePlus team has added a manual mode for the camera app of the smartphone. They have enabled Raw support for third party camera apps, but the team said that it will take one more update for it to work correctly with supported apps. There is also a colour balance slider in the Display settings. As the name suggests, it will enable users to adjust the colour balance to make the display warmer or cooler as per their preference. Additionally, the team has also fixed a few issues that were persistant with third party apps. One can check the complete changelog of the update from the official announcement post by OnePlus. Customers who own the OnePlus 2 can expect the update to hit their device soon.

If you don’t own a OnePlus 2 but want to, then here’s some good news for you. OnePlus has announced an event called #InviteCarnival via which the company is offering 3,000 invites. It includes puzzles, trivia questions, and quizzes which users can participate in to win a OnePlus 2 invite. The smartphone was launched by OnePlus in India a few months ago and the samrtphone maker is expected to launch another device by the end of this year. Images of this rumoured upcoming device, called the OnePlus X (Mini), were leaked earlier. The images suggest that it could have a dual-camera at the back along with dual-LED flash. The images also show a circular fingerprint sensor at the back. The smartphone is expected to be priced around $249. But when Digit asked Carl Pie, OnePlus co-founder about the second device, he said, “Let’s just say that OnePlus 2 will be the only flagship phone for 2015. We believe in making few but great products and will never bloat up our product lines.”
