If you’re a Galaxy S23 user, there’s some good news – Samsung may finally roll out the One UI 7 update for your device based on Android 15 next week. After months of waiting, the stable update is almost ready to hit devices.

Samsung initially began rolling out the stable One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 — on April 7, 2025. However, due to a serious bug, the company had to pause the rollout shortly after. Thankfully, Samsung has confirmed that the issue has been fixed, and the update will resume soon.

Now, the focus is shifting to the Galaxy S23 lineup. According to recent reports, the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S23 series could begin rolling out on April 22, 2025.

  • Now Bar on Lock Screen: A new Now Bar on the lock screen displays real-time info like your music player, voice recorder, or interpreter mode.
  • Smoother animations: Transitions across the system are now snappier and more polished.
  • Refreshed camera interface: The camera UI gets a cleaner layout with controls placed to be more reachable.
  • New battery icon: The battery icon now features a pill-shaped design that shows the battery percentage.
  • Better Galaxy AI: Improved AI tools for productivity, summarisation, and more.
