Nothing is preparing for a massive expansion of its smartphone business in 2027. In an interview with Times Now Tech, the company’s co-founder Akis Evangelidis revealed that the London based brand is planning to nearly double its smartphone portfolio next year while also expanding its retail presence and product ecosystem in India.
While the company has not disclosed specific details about the devices, Evangelidis, as per the report said Nothing introduced three smartphones this year- the Nothing Phone 4a, Phone 4a Pro and Phone 4b and now intends to launch around twice that number in 2027. If the plans remain unchanged, the company may introduce at least six smartphones next year.
Beyond expanding its smartphone lineup, Nothing is also planning to strengthen its offline presence in India. After opening the first exclusive retail store in Bengaluru earlier this year, the company is now planning two additional stores by the first quarter of 2027, the report stated. The new outlets are expected to be located in major metro cities such as Delhi, Mumbai or Hyderabad, with final decisions likely by the end of September, the report added.
The brand is also expanding its product strategy. As per the report, the company’s audio business has seen strong growth this year, prompting the creation of dedicated business units for audio devices and AI-focused products.
He added that Nothing has already started manufacturing products such as the CMF Watch 3 Pro and CMF Headphone Pro in India. The brand even plans to gradually expand local production to more premium audio devices before launching them in the country. The report also hinted that more Nothing products are scheduled to arrive later this year, saying the company’s launch cycle for 2026 is not yet complete.
The report also mentioned that the brand is monitoring market conditions and component costs to determine whether a new CMF smartphone could return in 2027. However, we may not get to see a new CMF phone in 2026.
Nothing also stated that it aims to grow smartphone shipments by around 50 per cent next year, supported by a bigger product portfolio, the report mentioned.
As per the report, Evangelidis said India will remain one of Nothing’s most important markets because of its consumer base, manufacturing capabilities and technology ecosystem. At the same time, the company is increasing its focus on the US, where it sees stronger growth opportunities, particularly in the audio segment.
