Nothing Phone 3 vs Nothing Phone 2 India Price camera design display chipset specs compared
After nearly two years, Nothing has finally launched its next-generation flagship phone: the Nothing Phone 3. The London-based tech brand, led by Carl Pei, has slowly built a reputation for blending bold design with thoughtful features. While the Phone 1 and Phone 2 impressed users with their unique Glyph Interface and transparent design, the Phone 3 takes a bigger leap in terms of design, display and more.
With the introduction of features like the Glyph Matrix, a triple-camera setup and a brighter display, the Phone 3 is aiming for the premium segment. But how much of an upgrade is it really over the Phone 2? Let’s break it down by comparing both devices in terms of design, display, camera, chipset, battery and price.
The Nothing Phone 2 featured the Glyph Interface which was a set of LED lights on the back that could glow for notifications, calls, charging status and more. On the Phone 3, Nothing has replaced this with the new Glyph Matrix. This new design is placed on the top right corner of the phone’s back and offers not just visual alerts, but also interactive features and customisation options. The rear camera module has also been redesigned and repositioned to fit better with the updated layout.
The Nothing Phone 3 gets a noticeable upgrade in the display department. It features a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of 4500 nits, which is significantly brighter than the Phone 2’s 1600 nits. This means better visibility in bright outdoor conditions. Under the hood, the Nothing Phone 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. However, the Nothing Phone 3 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor.
The Nothing Phone 2 came with a dual-camera setup featuring a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. With the Phone 3, Nothing has taken a big step forward. The latest flagship features a triple rear camera system with three 50MP sensors: a main camera sensor, a 50MP periscope camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera.
Even the front camera has been upgraded to a 50MP sensor. For those unaware, the Nothing Phone 2 sports a 32MP selfie camera.

The Nothing Phone 3 is priced at Rs 79,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, while the higher-end 16GB + 512GB model costs Rs 89,999. In comparison, the Phone 2 was launched at Rs 44,999 for the base 8GB + 128GB model.
