Motorola has finally introduced its first-ever book-style foldable device, the Razr Fold in India. The device offers a dual AMOLED panel along with a Snapdragon 8 series chipset. It also offers a host of AI features along with the biggest ever battery in the segment. It also features a triple camera support, a durable and slim form factor, along with Android 16-based Hello UI. The device has a 4.7 mm thickness when unfolded and weighs 243 grams. The Motorola Razr Fold comes with an 8.1-inch LTPO pOLED internal display with a 2K resolution, adaptive 1Hz to 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, HDR10+ certification, and a claimed peak brightness of 6,200 nits. It also offers a 6.6-inch LTPO pOLED panel with 165Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and Dolby Vision support. It comes with Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 protection.
Under the hood, the device features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset built on a 3nm process. The device is offered with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. Motorola has also included a large vapour chamber cooling system with liquid metal technology for thermal management. The smartphone packs a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 80W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
On the software front, the foldable runs Android 16-based Hello UI and comes with seven years of OS and security updates. AI features include Moto AI, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot integration, AI-powered camera tools, Circle to Search, and on-device LLM support.
In terms of camera, the device offers a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP Sony LYTIA 828 primary sensor with OIS and support for 8K video recording. It is paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom and up to 100x Super Zoom Pro, alongside a 50MP ultrawide and macro lens. The phone also includes a 10MP external selfie camera and a 32MP internal front-facing camera.
The phone also supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, UWB, NFC, stereo speakers tuned by Bose, Dolby Atmos audio, and Moto Pen Ultra stylus support. Motorola is additionally offering productivity-focused features like laptop mode, split-screen multitasking for up to three apps, and desktop-style UI controls.
The new Motorola Razr Fold has launched in India at a starting price of Rs 1,49,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The higher-end 16GB + 512GB model is priced at Rs 1,59,999, while the special FIFA World Cup 26 Edition with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage will retail at Rs 1,69,999. The foldable smartphone will go on sale starting May 13 via Flipkart, Motorola India and leading offline retail stores across the country.
