Motorola and Nothing smartphones get price hike: Here are the new rates

Due to AI, the DRAM market has been massively affected, meaning that RAM and storage component prices have taken a direct hit. While consumer RAM and storage solutions have skyrocketed in prices, along with that, major smartphone manufacturers have also been having all sorts of troubles. Navigating through this crisis has become tough for all makers, and price hikes have been the only solution so far. Recently, brands like Xiaomi, Realme, and OnePlus announced a major price hike on their phones, but joining the race are two new makers. Both Motorola and Nothing have announced that their smartphones will receive a price hike. Let’s take a look at all the affected models.

Motorola smartphones price hike

First and foremost, talking about the Motorola devices, a bunch of their devices have received a price hike. Starting from the budget G series lineup and all the way to their mid-range segment, which includes the Edge Fusion series, most of the devices are seeing a price increase that ranges from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000.

Nothing smartphone price hike

Along with Motorola, Nothing has also announced a price hike on one of its smartphones. Interestingly, while the price of their flagships and premium mid-rangers stays the same, the device that has been affected is the more recent mid-range Nothing Phone (3a) Lite. 

Unlike other makers, who have hiked the price by Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000, Nothing has taken a different approach. They’ve hiked the price of the device by Rs 3,000, which has come as a surprise to many. Thankfully, the device is currently available to buy at its old price on Flipkart, but that may change once the old inventory runs out.
