HTC Desire C unveiled, budget ICS with 5MP camera

HTC has announced a new budget Android Ice Cream Sandwich phone, with HTC Desire C, which also features Beats Audio. It’s scheduled to release by the end of the month, starting with Europe. So far, only European pricing has been leaked, at around €220, translating to roughly Rs. 15,000.

Bearing a 3.5-inch (320×480) capacitive touchscreen, the HTC Desire C is 12mm-thick. It features a Snapdragon S1 600MHz processor, with 512MB RAM, Sense 4.0 UI on top of Ice Cream Sandwich, as well as Beats Audio technology without headphones.

Other features of the HTC Desire C include a 5MP F/2.8 rear camera, 4GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD (up to 32GB), 2 years of free Dropbox 25GB cloud storage, and a 1,230 mAh battery.

In terms of connectivity, the Desire C features 3G with 7.2Mbps HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, and USB 2.0. An NFC version of the Desire C will also be released in some territories. It will be available in white, black and red.
