Honor is gearing up to expand its premium segment with the addition of the new Honor Magic 8 Pro Air. Leaks and early details suggest that the premium device will boast a slim and lightweight design. Recently leaked images also suggest that the device may feature a Pixel-inspired camera layout. Under the hood, the device is rumoured to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor.

Images of the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air have recently appeared online, and let’s be honest, at first glance the Honor Magic 8 Air looks like it borrowed its design homework from the Google Pixel series. Especially the camera module of the device, which would instantly remind you of the Google Pixel series. That said, Honor has added its own touch with premium finishes and bold colours like Feather White, Fairy Purple, Light Orange, and Shadow Black. The phone is also very slim at just 6.3mm and extremely light at 158 grams, making it one of the lightest premium phones around.
The Honor Magic 8 Pro Air is expected to feature a compact 6.31-inch OLED display with sharp 1.5K resolution. Furthermore, it’s also expected to come with an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The device is anticipated to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor under the hood. It’s also expected to pack a 5,500mAh battery and is also said to support 80W fast charging. The phone may run on MagicOS 10 out of the box and might come with a strong metal frame. The camera details about the device are still unknown.

The Honor Magic 8 Pro Air is expected to launch in China by the end of January. If past trends are followed, the phone could arrive in India within two to three months after the China launch. This means Indian users can expect the device to be launched somewhere around late March or early April.

Early reports suggest that the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air may cost around Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000 in the Indian market. However, the final pricing will be revealed at the time of launch and may vary depending on storage options and taxes.
