Google Pixel 10a vs Pixel 9a India Price display camera performance and other leaks
Google has recently unveiled its new budget smartphone, the Google Pixel 10a. The new smartphone comes with some minor design changes over the current Pixel 9a. However, when it comes to hardware, there is no point of improvement. The only changes are on the software front, which comes with advanced AI capabilities that are not present in the Pixel 9a. Other than that, both smartphones come with a dual camera setup that has a 48MP primary camera and a 5,100mAh battery. Below is a spec-based comparison of last year’s Pixel 9a and the newly launched Google Pixel 10a.
The Pixel 9a keeps a minimalist, durable design with a satin-finished back made from recycled materials and an aluminium frame. Its camera module sits nearly flush, replacing the older visor style with a subtle capsule housing. The phone has an IP68 rating and comes in Iris, Porcelain, Obsidian, and Peony.
However, the Pixel 10a goes fully bumpless, featuring a completely flat, flush rear camera module for a cleaner look. It uses a 100% recycled aluminium frame and adds recycled cobalt, copper, and gold. It also has an IP68 rating, a textured matte finish, and is available in Lavender, Berry, Fog, and Obsidian.

The Pixel 9a features a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display on the handset has a Full HD+ (1080 x 2424 pixels) resolution and supports 422.2 PPI. To prevent scratches and offer protection against daily wear, the makers have installed Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the display. Furthermore, when the device is used under bright light, it can reach up to 2,700 nits of peak brightness.
Much like the previous version, the Google Pixel 10a features a 6.3-inch pOLED Actua display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a 20:9 aspect ratio, Full HD+ (1080 x 2424) resolution, and 422.2 PPI. Along with that, the smartphone can reach a peak brightness of 3,000 nits under bright sunlight. The handset also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i to protect the screen.
The Google Pixel 9a draws its power from the Tensor G4 chipset and is coupled with the Titan M2 security coprocessor. The smartphone also boasts 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

Both the Pixel 9a and Pixel 10a from Google feature a 5,100mAh battery with fast-charging and Qi-certified wireless charging support. The only difference is battery life in Extreme Battery Saver mode: the Pixel 9a offers up to 100 hours, while the Pixel 10a claims an additional 20 hours, taking the total up to 120 hours.
The Google Pixel 10a features a dual rear camera setup, including a 48MP primary lens and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. Furthermore, it houses a 13MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
The Pixel 9a, on the other hand, also features a 48MP primary camera paired with a 13MP ultra-wide module. On the front, the device houses a 13MP selfie shooter.

The Pixel 10a was launched with a price tag of Rs 49,999, which is similar to that of last year’s Pixel 9a device.
