Yet another leak makes its way to us today, with screenshots of the BlackBerry 10 OS – expected in devices only by Q4 2012 – surfacing online. An internal RIM email is apparently doing the rounds, with a Torch 9860 running the new OS.
You can check out the images below, showing off the BB10 OS, with a new homescreen, dynamic Windows Phone Live Tile-like widgets, a new bottom navigation bar. We can also see a new app switcher, apart from voice and video call screens.
Research In Motion recently announced a major change to their corporate hierarchy, COO Thorsten Heins replacing co-CEOs Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis at the top as the new President and CEO of RIM.
Heins reassured shareholders that RIM’s major projects for 2012 are still on track – specifically, the new PlayBook, the new QNX-based BlackBerry 10 operating system, and its platform lead device. The company is also hoping the new BB10 operating system is a big enough hit to even be licensed to other vendors.
