Apple is all set for the 20th anniversary of its iPhone lineup, and reports suggest that the Cupertino giant is also planning to unveil a new anniversary edition iPhone with a major design change. Leaks and rumours also indicated that with the upcoming model, users may get more screen space with minimal visible borders around the display. Under the hood the smartphone is said to run on the upcoming A21 Pro chipset. Furthermore, the smartphone is also anticipated to come with a triple camera setup at the back. The upcoming anniversary edition iPhone is anticipated to land on the market with two different display sizes, notably the 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch versions. Not only that but the reports also pointed out the company is also planning to focus heavily on maximising screen space while minimising visible borders, giving users a more seamless viewing experience.
The smartphone is rummoured to run on the A21 Pro chip under the hood and is said to be built on a 2-nanometre fabrication process. Aside from that, it’s also tipped to house up to 16GB of RAM with a potential shift to high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and up to 1TB of internal storage.
Apple’s iPhone 20 is also said to house a 6,000mAh silicon-anode battery to keep the device running all day. Furthermore, to give it a quick top-up, the device may also get supported by 40W wired charging, 25W MagSafe charging, and Qi2 wireless charging. Apple’s iPhone 20 is also anticipated to come with a horizontal triple-camera setup at the back whose details remain under wraps at the time of writing.
Apple is expected to unveil the upcoming iPhone 20 as part of its 20th anniversary celebration in 2027. However, since the device is still far from launch, most of the reported specifications and design details remain unconfirmed and should be treated as leaks.
