After introducing the new MacBook lineup, Apple is now set to introduce the next-generation iPhone series. While the iPhone 18 launch might be postponed, Apple is said to launch the iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone 18 Pro along with the first-ever foldable smartphone at the Surprise and Shine event in the next 10 days. All these devices are said to get some massive upgrades and may be highly AI-backed. From India prices to what will be new this year, all we know.
Apple’s Surprise and Shine event will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, Cupertino, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. It will kick off at 10:30 PM IST and can be streamed via the Apple Website, the Apple TV app, or Apple’s official YouTube channel.
Apple may introduce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max along with the iPhone Ultra. Along with the smartphones, the company may introduce Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, along with the new AirPods with upgraded audio gear variants.
The upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max may get some massive changes, including a new advanced 2-nanometer A20 Bionic chip built on TSMC’s process node. The leaks also suggest that the devices will have a standard 12GB of RAM for better performance and on-device AI processing.
In terms of design, the devices may be the first to get an under-display Face ID system. It may happen by moving the biometric sensors beneath the glass and may also result in shrinking the Dynamic Island cutout for a more immersive viewing experience.
The devices may retain the 6.3-inch screen for the standard Pro and the expansive 6.9-inch screen for the Pro Max. Another change could be a unified triple 48MP rear array where the ultra-wide and periscope telephoto lenses finally match the main sensor’s resolution. The primary camera may also get a variable aperture lens to mechanically control light and produce DSLR-like background blur.
As per the latest leaks, the iPhone 18 Pro may be priced at around Rs 1,39,900 while the iPhone 18 Pro Max can be priced at Rs 1,59,900. However, the details are not confirmed yet.
