iPhone 16 Pro
Every September, Apple’s new iPhones dominate tech headlines, but 2025 could see one of the biggest leaps in recent years. Leaks hint at bold design tweaks and a better selfie camera. For shoppers, though, the real question is how the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro stacks up against its larger sibling, the iPhone 17 Pro Max. From what we know so far, both phones will share much of the same specs, yet they’ll still differ in size, battery capacity and, of course, price. Here’s a clear look at where the two models may differ and what specs they’ll share.
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 17 series between 11 and 13 September 2025, followed by the pre-orders roughly a week later. In India, the iPhone 17 Pro is rumoured to start at Rs 1,39,999, while the Pro Max could start at around Rs 1,64,999.

The iPhone 17 Pro is expected to feature a 6.3-inch screen, and the Pro Max will likely sport a 6.9-inch display. The frame of both models might change from titanium to aluminium. The back could feature a half-glass finish, and the rear camera layout may move away from the current square design to a wider rectangular shape.
The front camera of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max might jump to 24 megapixels. All three rear cameras — wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto — could feature 48MP sensors. Other expected camera features include 8K video recording, dual video mode and a mechanical aperture for better low-light and portrait photos.

Under the hood, both phones should share Apple’s A19 Pro chip and up to 12 GB of RAM. Battery rumours suggest about 4,500 mAh on the Pro and close to 5,000 mAh on the Pro Max.
It’s important to note that all the details of the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max are based on leaks and rumours. So, I suggest you to take them with a pinch of salt.
