The iPhone 17 series is just around the corner, and anticipation is already high as leaks continue to reveal what Apple may have in store. Expected to launch around September 8-9, the new lineup will reportedly include four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
While all four models are expected to bring improvements, it’s the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max that are generating the most buzz. If the rumours are accurate, the iPhone 17 Pro lineup could mark one of the biggest leaps forward for Apple in recent years.
From price to specifications and design, here’s everything we know so far about the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max models.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to arrive in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 1,64,990. On the other hand, the iPhone 17 Pro will likely start at Rs 1,45,000.

One of the most talked-about changes is the new camera layout. Leaks suggest Apple is shifting to a horizontal camera layout on the back, with the lenses arranged in a triangular layout. The flash and LiDAR sensor could be moved to the right side of the module, giving the rear of the phone a new look. Also, the iPhone 17 Pro models are rumoured to feature aluminium frame, ditching the titanium frame.

Under the hood, both the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models are expected to be powered by the A19 Pro chipset. The phones are said to come with 12GB of RAM and a new vapour chamber cooling system.
The devices will likely run on iOS 26 and include an improved version of Siri. On the camera front, the Pro models are expected to feature three 48MP lenses: a main sensor, an ultra-wide sensor and a periscope telephoto lens.
As for displays, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is rumoured to feature a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR ProMotion display, while the Pro model might come with a 6.3-inch screen. Both are expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate.
