After rolling out iOS 27 beta 5 for developers last week, Apple has now released the fifth beta of the software. While the latest update is designed for developers, anyone who is enrolled in the Apple Developer Program can install it. Do note that this is a developer beta and can have bugs. So, it is suggested to back up your data before installing it. Below is everything you need to know about iOS 27 beta 6, including what is new, how to download it and supported iPhones.
iOS 27 beta 6 includes several small but useful changes. The latest beta makes screen recording more convenient by automatically removing the recording indicator from Control Center once a capture is stopped. Apple has also added a brief three-second countdown before a screen recording begins, giving users a moment to get ready, as per reports.
Siri is also getting a visual refresh in more parts of the operating system. The Siri icon is gradually replacing the older Apple Intelligence symbol.

The Camera app has received a small but helpful change as well. An “A” indicator now appears when Night Mode is automatically activated, making it easier for users to know when the camera is using the feature to improve low-light photos.
Furthermore, the update removes the duplicate cellular signal indicator that may appear when an iPhone is already connected to a Wi-Fi network.
iOS 27 beta 6 is available for the iPhone 11 series and newer models, which includes the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15, iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 lineups. The iPhone SE (2nd generation) and newer models are also supported.
Do note that some Siri AI and Apple Intelligence features need newer hardware and will not work on every supported iPhone.

It is advised to back up your iPhone before downloading the beta update. To install the iOS 17 beta 6 update, sign in to the Apple Developer Program using your Apple ID. Now, go to Setting > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and choose iOS 27 Developer Beta. Now, head back to the Software Update page, and tap on Download and Install when the update shows.
