Apple has released iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3, the latest updates to iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, which were first launched in September. These new updates arrive nearly two months after the release of iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2. According to Apple, iOS 26.3 mainly focuses on bug fixes and security improvements. While the company did not highlight many new features, there are a few important additions included in this update.
One of the key additions is a new tool that makes it easier to switch from an Apple device to an Android device. Users can now start transferring their data during the setup process of a new device. The tool allows people to move photos, messages, notes, apps, passwords, phone numbers, and more without needing to download extra apps from Apple or Google. Although data transfer between platforms was possible before, this new method is simpler and more direct.

Another new feature in iOS 26.3 is a setting that allows users to limit carrier location tracking, reports MacRumors. However, this option is currently supported by only a few carriers. In the United States, Boost Mobile supports it. In the UK, EE and BT offer the feature, while Telekom supports it in Germany. In Thailand, AIS and True also provide support. This feature works only on devices that use C1 or C1X modems.
Apple has also added new Europe-only features for third-party wearables like smartwatches and headphones. These changes would allow accessories to pair with an iPhone using a simple one-tap method, similar to AirPods. Third-party smartwatches could also receive and interact with richer notifications from an iPhone.
Apple has introduced a new Weather wallpaper section within the Lock Screen customisation menu. Previously, Weather and Astronomy were grouped together in a single category, but Weather has now been separated into its own dedicated section.
iOS 26.3 can be downloaded by going to Settings > General > Software Update on your device. The update is available for all iPhones that support iOS 26, including the iPhone 11 and newer models.
