Samsung is reportedly planning to revise the prices of its latest Galaxy S26 series, which includes the standard Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, Galaxy S26 Ultra, and Galaxy S26 FE. The company is said to increase the prices because of the ongoing global memory chip shortage and the rise in component costs. If the report is to be trusted, then the price hike could be seen as soon as October 1 in certain markets. This is not the first time Samsung will do this, as the company has previously increased the prices of several smartphones, including the last generation Galaxy S25. According to a report by Hans Economy, Samsung is considering increasing the prices for the Galaxy S26 lineup in South Korea. The Galaxy S26 could reportedly move from 1,254,000 won to 1,403,600 won. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Plus may rise from 1,452,000 won to 1,601,600 won, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra could go from 1,797,400 won to 1,947,000 won.
Moreover, the report states that consumers could see the new revised prices for the Galaxy S26 series as soon as October 1. The report is specifically about the South Korean market, so the Indian and global markets may or may not see a price hike around the same time. Furthermore, if the prices are revised, the increase could be completely different from what is seen in Samsung’s home market.

Samsung has reportedly responded to the report, stating that ‘We have not sent out any official notice regarding a price increase for the Galaxy S26 series… While it is true that we are internally reviewing whether to adjust prices in consideration of cost burdens, such as the recent rise in component prices, nothing has been finalised as of now.’
Apple has also recently increased prices for some iPhone models after the launch of its iPhone 18 Pro series and the first foldable device, the iPhone Duo, making the situation more important for Samsung as it decides where its own phones should be priced.

While Samsung has not officially confirmed a price hike in the Indian market, tipster Abhishek Yadav previously claimed that the company is planning to increase the price of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Not only that but the tipster has now provided further details, suggesting that the price increase may not be limited to the Ultra model. Rather, other variants in the Galaxy S26 series like the vanilla Galaxy S26, as well as the Galaxy A06 5G, could also see a price hike.
