Fans react to Apple’s upcoming MacBooks

On Thursday, Apple CEO Tim Cook posted a brief teaser video without revealing much. In the video, an Apple logo being created can be seen. When you look at it closely, the surface appears to be that of a MacBook. But again, this is pure speculation and we don’t know for certain. He captioned the video, “A big week ahead. It all starts Monday morning! #AppleLaunch.”

The video has over 9.3 million views and thousands of comments. While some fans are expressing their excitement around the new products, others are jokingly saying that their “wallets are crying.”

Here is a look at some reactions:

Budget MacBooks and other expectations

As per rumours, a new entry level MacBook that could run on an iPhone class A series processor instead of the usual M series chip might be coming soon. Reports have claimed that this model may feature a slightly smaller display, an aluminium body and multiple colour options. If the budget MacBook is indeed launched, it could be a great choice for people looking to enter the Apple MacBook ecosystem on a budget.

Apart from this, Apple is also expected to refresh the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with the next M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. And while these updates aren’t expected to bring much change in terms of design, performance improvements are said to take a leap. For the unversed, a MacBook Pro with M5 chip was unveiled late last year.

And finally, the MacBook Air could also see an upgrade with a model powered by the M5 chip being launched soon. Once again, no major design changes are expected and we could see the new MacBook Air models in the familiar 13 and 15 inch form factors. However in terms of performance, the M5 chip is expected to be 3.5 times more powerful than the previous generation.
