Elon Musk’s X (formerly known as Twitter), is experiencing a major global outage, with thousands of users reporting service disruptions across desktop and mobile platforms. According to Downdetector data, 74% of affected users are struggling to access the web version of the platform, while 23% are facing issues on the mobile app, and 3% have reported server connectivity problems. As reported, the outage began around 11:43 PM, with complaints rapidly increasing, especially from users in India.
The cause of the outage remains unclear, and X has not yet released an official statement. The disruption is one of the most significant service interruptions for the platform this month.
A few weeks back, too, it was down for thousands of users. They reported disruptions on both mobile apps and desktop versions. As many as 15,400 users had reported the issue. According to Downdetector, around 55% of complaints were linked to the X mobile app, followed by the website, with 40% and 5% of users reported server connection errors, affecting tweet uploads, logins, and real-time feed loading.
Notably, X users on Android, iOS, and desktop browsers were experiencing unresponsive timelines, broken media loading, and delayed notifications. Some users also said that they were unable to post tweets or refresh their feed. However, X did not issue any formal statement or explanation acknowledging the outage.
