Qualcomm has announced that its Snapdragon platform has been a leader in India’s premium smartphone chipset market, with a 40% market share in the segment above Rs 25,000, according to new data from CMR India. This indicates that the company has established a strong presence in powering flagship and high-end smartphones.
According to CMR India’s findings, a significant number of Indian consumers upgrade their smartphones during the festive season, with performance (89%), gaming (85%), and readiness for generative AI (45%) being key purchase drivers. Snapdragon, with its established lead in the premium category, is well-positioned to meet these demands while also paving the way for the country’s next phase of smartphone innovation.
Qualcomm also launched the “Snapdragon Hai Na” national campaign along with this achievement with the goal of boosting consumer confidence in Snapdragon-powered devices. In order to appeal to India’s high-end smartphone consumers, the campaign highlights features like fast performance, battery efficiency, console-level gaming, professional-grade photography, and AI-driven experiences.
The campaign will be supported by influencer partnerships and run on a variety of platforms, including TV, print, OTT, YouTube, digital, and social media. According to Qualcomm, the initiative demonstrates not only a marketing campaign but also the company’s long-term dedication to creating high-end mobile experiences in India.
