Samsung One UI 8.5: When will Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and other devices get it
Galaxy S25 series is tipped to receive One UI 8.5 in early March, with beta testing reportedly underway.
Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy Z Fold 7 / Galaxy Z Flip 7 are expected to see rollout by late March or early April.
Older flagships like the Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy S22 series, along with select Galaxy A, M, F series phones.
Samsung, along with the Galaxy S26 series, has introduced the Android 16-based One UI 8.5 update. The new update brings a variety of new upgrades, including Now Nudge, enhanced Circle to Search, upgraded Bixby, support for Gemini and Perplexity, along with AI-Powered creativity tools and security enhancements. While the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 get pre-loaded One UI 8.5, the question arises as to when the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip 7 get the Android 16-based update.
One UI 8.5 release timeline for Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series and more
Samsung has not officially confirmed the One UI 8.5 update for the older generation flagships at the moment. But as per the leaks, the Galaxy S25 series will get the One UI 8.5 update in early March and is currently in the beta testing phase.
The leaks also suggest that the Galaxy S24 series will get the update in late March or early April. Again, we do not know the official dates so far. Speaking of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, reports suggest the ‘priority rollout,’ which means the devices can get the update in March.

The Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy S22 series are said to get the One UI 8.5 update gradually. While we do not have the exact release timeline, it may get the update between April and June. After that, the Galaxy A, M and F series will be getting the update gradually.

Galaxy S25 Series: S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 FE, S25 Edge.
Galaxy S24 Series: S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, S24 FE.
Galaxy S23 Series: S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, S23 FE.
Galaxy S22 Series: S22, S22+, S22 Ultra.
Foldables: Extensive support expected for Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 7, 6, 5, and 4 models.
Galaxy A, M, F Series: A wide selection of 2023–2026 models, including A56/A36, M56/M36, and F56/F36, is expected to receive the update.
Tablet: Galaxy Tab S11/S10/S9/S8 series.
Do note that Samsung has not confirmed these details so far and we may have to wait a little more for the confirmation.
