Samsung One UI 7 update is here: Supported devices, features, and how to download

Samsung has finally released the Android 15-based One UI 7 update for select Galaxy S24 series users in India. The company began rolling out the update on April 7 in Korea and other select regions. The One UI 7 update is also being rolled out to Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 users in the United States and Canada. While not all users have received the update yet, we expect that the company may roll out the update to everyone in the coming days.

One UI 7 supported devices

The One UI 7 update is now available to select Galaxy S24 Ultra, S24+, and S24 users in India. Some Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 users also received the update. Samsung is likely to roll out the update to other devices in stages, though the timeline for models such as the Galaxy S23, Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5 has yet to be confirmed.

One UI 7 features

The Android 15-based One UI 7 comes with new enhanced features like content summarisation, grammar checks, call transcripts in over 20 languages, and Audio Eraser. It also improves the Google Gemini integration and offers call recording. With the new update, the users will also get redesigned with improved widgets and a refreshed camera app featuring better pro video controls.

The users can now access the Now Bar feature on the lock screen which will let them access key tools without unlocking. The new update also offers smoother animations, redesigned icons, and faster app launches, along with deeper customisation options for the lock screen and overall UI.

Here’s how you can download and install the One UI 7 update on your Samsung device:

• Open the Settings app on your phone.
• Scroll down and tap on “Software update”.
• Tap on “Download and install”.
• Your device will check for available updates.
• If One UI 7 is available, tap “Download” to begin.
• Once downloaded, tap “Install now” to apply the update.
• Your phone will restart and update to the latest version.

Make sure your device is charged and connected to Wi-Fi before starting the update.
