Samsung has reportedly begun rolling out the Android 16-based One UI 8 beta to Galaxy S25 series users in India and Poland. For the unfamiliar, the company first released the beta versions for the users in Germany, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. But now the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, or Galaxy S25 Ultra users in India can download the One UI 8 beta update.
The firmware version for this beta release is S93xBXXU4ZYF3 and includes the June 2025 security patch. The update weighs approximately 3.6GB, indicating that it will include several changes and additions to the operating system.
To access the beta update, users must first register for the One UI 8 beta program through the Samsung Members app. After logging in with a Samsung account, users must locate the beta banner on the home screen and enroll their device. After registering, users can install by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and Install. The phone will restart once the update installation is completed.
One UI 8, which is based on Android 16, is said to include a number of visual and performance improvements. It is also expected to include new features. However, Samsung has not yet revealed the detailed changelog. According to reports, Samsung may introduce new AI-based features, optimise app behaviour, and improve system performance.
Keep in mind that this is a beta release, so there may be bugs and issues that will take some time to resolve. We recommend that those installing beta versions backup their data and expect a few instability issues.
It is worth noting that Samsung has not provided an official timeline for the stable release. According to the leaks, the stable Android 16-based One UI 8 update will first be available for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 before gradually rolling out to older devices, beginning with the Galaxy S25 series.
