The OneUI 7 brings some key updates to the Galaxy AI features including the writing assist tools. The new updates bring the ability to allow users to seamlessly select and interact with text across multiple apps. With this, the users will get AI-powered options like summarizing content, checking spelling and grammar, and auto-formatting notes into bullet points without any need to switch between the apps.
The company has expanded the call transcript feature support in over 20 languages. The users will be able to access automatic transcriptions of recorded calls, eliminating the need to take notes manually.
Along with AI upgrades, OneUI 7 comes with a few design changes. The company has added a Now Bar which can be directly accessed from the lock screen, summarising key activities such as Music, Recording, Stopwatch, and Interpreter.
The home screen along with the widgets are also redesigned with an aim to offer users more control over their device.
Along with these, Samsung has also made some tweaks to the camera interface. It is now easier to navigate through settings with a simplified camera UX. Controls like zoom adjustments in Pro video mode, have been reorganized to allow users greater flexibility.
The public release of OneUI 7 will start with the upcoming Galaxy S25 series devices with additional AI capabilities, starting from the first quarter of 2025. It will gradually rollout to other devices.
